TELL ME ABOUT IT - THE ENCORE SHOW

with me, Thalia Joan, joined by my funny favourites Joshua Haulville and Claire Robin.

I am probably nervously pacing backstage (yes I get nervous, because I love this so much and anything live has potential to go…wrong…but also even better than imagined).

I thought what might be nice, is to add a bit more back story to the already back story you are about to hear…

Firstly - this is the encore show, by the way I decided to have my own encore which is a humbling reminder to anyone out there that if you want something…you have every right to go and get it and make it happen, never forget that. After doing this show at Sydney Comedy Festival, I didn’t feel done and I felt even more excited and honoured to bring my comedy crush’s and friends into the show… I met Josh and Claire a few months ago and have felt forever grateful as they reminded me how important community can be in what can sometimes be an isolating journey of performing solo, a journey that very few will ever understand. They are both working on amazing things individually so stay in touch and follow them, I have tagged them in everything.

I have been working on this show for over 500 hours - that makes me a comedian, not an expert. My life’s mission and obsession is to bring joy, comfort and love onto a stage…and into your world.

A few months ago I decided this would be my last show, I hit ‘burn out’ and my doubt felt bigger than my hope… comparison is the thief of joy and feeling like everyone else around me had something figured out whilst I gradually felt more and more exhausted by trying to do it “all”.

Even this show, I have done it all, found a venue, pitch proposals, schedules, bookings, rehearsals, putting together a team, marketing, flyering, promotions, emails , editing videos, replying to messages, building a website etc etc… whilst working full time. Takes its toll.

So please enjoy this show as this is the thing I LOVE the most and I have poured myself into it. If you love it, word of mouth keeps people like me and others in business!

You can take photos, short videos (but it is getting filmed, so no flash or long form video please). And please do not heckle unless Heckled at (by me).

Most importantly, have fun and truely - thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing to spend your precious time with me.
